FEBUARY 2008

We have been having very spring like weather in Bagneres for the last couple of months (which is great if you don’t want to ski) but there has still been skiing 25 mins up the road at La Mongie/Bereges. Any of the predicted snow seemed to disappear before it reached us.

The Snow arrived yesterday Tuesday the 4th and now the slopes are completely covered in the white stuff and there is still over a month of the ski season to go. YES!

Steve’s mother and father have decided to return to the UK to live after 3 years living in Bagneres and a further 15 years in OZ. They are going to live in the Grantham area near Steve’s dad’s 2 brothers and their families.

Only 4 days after I returned to Bagneres from the UK Andrew and 3 of his friends arrived from the UK. Andrew and Sam drove Andrew’s new (18yr old) VW people carrier through the night from Dover, while Jan and Ian had to keep the drivers awake. They arrived safe and sound in Bagneres around 4pm on Sat the 9th and stayed till midnight the following Saturday.

Luckily they had arrived the week before the French holidays so the slopes weren’t too busy.
